Went Ahead With The Tint
Had this done on my 2000.Back then i had it done with 20%.It never grew on me and i didn't think I'd ever want to tint another car.Just felt like i was in a cave all the time.
Well after talking to a local installer,he showed me some of his cars and i decided to go legal 30% all around.I am very happy with how it turned out. It's tinted not blacked out, just right.
Installer did a great job,he has been doing it for 15 years, did the one piece rear and took it right up the the cut edge on glass so it looks like a factory tint and he gave me a written lifetime warranty.

Thanks! Next thing I've really been on the fence about and that is stripes.I am leaning towards white dual lemans stripes with pinstripe border.I think it would break up the acres of black. My wife doesn't like stripes but in the end it's my car and my decision.
Thinking of going with vinyl this year to see if i like it,if so next spring I'd get them painted on.
I know i still need to get it lowered but after a lot of reading,i am not sure that is something i want to jump into right away.If all i had to do was replace springs,I would feel ok about it but seems like in the end you have to change a few other things over to make it right.

Tint
I would like to tint but have questions.
Does it reflect heat? What % is legal? How do you find an installer? What is a reasonable price to pay?
I drove to Mustang week from Boston. Myrtle Beach was 100 degrees. What an Event.

Not so sure about heat,i would lean toward, not really. It does help with the sun beating in on you as your driving down the road and it offers some uv protection against sun damaging the interior.
Your installer can tell you what legal is for your state or go here http://www.tintcenter.com/laws/
Again to find my installer,i googled a town then searched for window tint then did a BBB inquiry on the business, found out who had the experience and good rep. When i got there,i checked out some of the other cars he was working on and had finished.
I paid $120 dollars for mine,i had quotes up to $175 and have heard of people getting it for as little as $75.
Just make sure your installer uses good name brand film and uses one piece for rear window and guarantees his work.

It does help with heat, it keeps the cabin much cooler once the air conditioner gets running and keeps the sun for shinning in.
I paid $170, because my car had old bubbled tint from the previous owner which was hard to remove. Since your tint, if you even have factory tint, should be easily removed I wouldn't pay more than $150.
Make sure they warranty the tint and don't clean your windows with anything containing ammonia. It will turn the tint purple.
