After hauling the HOG an hour since my local dealer was closed, the distant dealer backed out on delivering my repaired bike to me today.

Since I still had the trailer, I ran over and was able to get it before closing, in order to have it for a sale first thing Monday.

Looks goofy, sure. Handy, sure.

I picked up power for that same harness by going to the power seat harness. That saved me from having to go thru the firewall. I forget which wire but it is easy to find.

Thanks to those who provided help on wiring. When I added my feeback on the etrailer site, I mentioned some of the changes I did with their kit (e.g. using a red wire for power, soldering, etc) plus some of what I got here.

Time to start setting up the new bike for long rides...
