if you want that tail light, you'd better wait to get 2013.. With the LED in 2013 tail light, I'm pretty sure it won't be a simple plug and play if you swap the 2012 taillight with OEM 2013 ones...

I wonder if I can get the 2013 Shelby headlights as an aftermarket part? The ones with the two horizontal LEDs coming from the center light. SEXY!!!! I would put those on my ride fater than you can say LED.

I'm actually glad my rocker panels are black. The p zeros throw up a lot of rocks. Will def chip those painted rockers.

found a couple of the 2013 taillights on the 2012 Roush race car:

but looking at this pic, the gap is barely noticeable and on a black car would probably be invisible....hmmm......

Yankee, check these out. I would imagine these fit '10-'12. I haven't looked at the Shelby headlights but these look REALLY nice. SickHIDs.com is the website and they just completely custom make them for you apparently.

Thanks a lot guys for the responses! And especially thanks for the input on which year I should get and why. Still gotta decide but I will have me a mustang extremely soon! Bones, the rear lights look really good on the 2012 they got and I'm glad it's somewhat possible. I'm shooting for a black model so seeing the gap you're talking about, I don't think anyone would notice at all But thanks again! I like my first experience on this forum already xD I'm gonna pretty active. Thanks again guys.

Here are the 2 cars side by side. Looks like the 2010-2012 has a bigger dip down on the bottom. Other than having to change the bumpers, I dont think it will be any other problems with the attachment to the car. Ford is not going to retool the body of the car, right before a design change, just for different tail lights. Mold for a bumper are VERY cheap compared to a new stamping for sheetmetal. Having done the old GT500 conversion, many of the parts and part#s are the same between the years and V6 - GT500. The trimmings and attachments is all they change. All in all, unless you want a perfect fit, I wouldnt change the bumper, since the gap is very slight.

2012 lights with 2013 bumper, just for fun

To be honest, I like how the 2012's have the "power bulge" hood vs how the 2013's dont have anything (V6, I have my reasons! ;p) on the hood. With a set of '13 rear lights on a 2012. Complete. I would imagine noob people would think it's the new '13 since the 2012 still has the bulge on the hood rather than the plain hoods on the new 13's. Although, they do look NICE on GTs and up with the extra accent on the hood

The Pony Package '13 V6s have the heat extractor vents on the hood.
