Default Got my Leather Steering Wheel Cover

Since I am too poor to afford a premium, I am taking my time to get there. My first step... Leather Steering Wheel Cover from
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390400808076...ht_4319wt_1104
for $41.

Time to do some old fashion sewing!

I did the first half of the wheel in the wrong threading pattern!

Even after I corrected myself, it still came out looking like COMPLETE SHAT!

I dont trust those sew on steering wheel covers, I would prefer to swap the whole steerting wheel if I could.

Jesus christ, over $300 for the wheel! Yeah, too rich for my blood. I'm taking baby steps. I've heard of others having the same problem with wheelskins and they received a full refund. I already notified wheelskins with pictures, but probably my own fault for sucking at sewing anyways.

I'm not rich either lol, but I bought a GT500 steering wheel for around $270 on eBay. It was well worth every penny.

I just figured out that I had to twist the skin inwards to get rid of the excess slack. It looks 50% better now.

And the leather overlapping the spokes (if that's what they're even called on a steering wheel) just makes it look so out of place. I think you should just do it the right way and replace it. Just my two cents.

It is definately worth swapping the steering wheel, that was the first thing I did when i got my mustang. I bought a premium wheel from somebody on the forum for around $150.
