Default Finally decided on some wheels...

Whew...been back and forth on this for the last two weeks. Now I can get some sleep

Here is what I've come up with. They will go on a 2012 black GT.

Now I have to decide on a size. They come in 20x9.5 and 20x11.

Ideally, I would like to go staggered...9.5's in the front and the 11's in the bag.

On tire sizes, I've found Michelin Pilot Sports in the sizes I'm most interested in.

On the front 9.5's I'm thinking 275/35ZR20 and on the rear 11's 305/35ZR20's.

I don't plan on lowering the car, so the ride height will be stock, so I'm wondering if these tires will fit without rubbing if anyone has nay experience running this size.

Thanks

Those are some nice wheels. The rear 11's is like 50 something offset, so they will fit up to a 315 tire.

275 fronts are awesome, but from what I have heard is that the front end tracks and pulls at times because they are a bit wide.

305 are kinda difficult size to find. Nitto does make it in a drag radial.
Michelin Pilot Sports ps2 are an older model tire. The new model is pilot super sports and they don't make them in 305. They make 295 or 315 in 20's.

I went with 295/35/20 and 255/35/20 with mine.

yup...im discovering that finding matching tires in the size i want is becoming a difficult challenge. i can either find it in the front size i want, or the back size, but i cant find a particular brand or size that makes both sizes than i am looking for.

would the 315 clear without any rubbing?

im really not wanting a "drag" car. im wanting something i can take out on the twisty back roads.

will you lose handling if you start getting to wide on the tires?

from what I've heard the 9.5 size in the front will rub if you dont install the steering rack stops. Also make sure you get the right offset for the rear so you'll be able to tuck that 305 tire, unless you're going for that "outside the lip" look. Just something to be cautious of prior to purchase.

thanks for the info on the steering rack stops. im still saving for the wheels and waiting on soe tax money back, but i went ahead and ordered those rousch steering rack stops. they were dirt cheap and seem easy to install, although i think a special tool is needed and im not sure what it even is.

as for the offset on the steeda heels, im guessing that since they are mustang specific, they only come in one offset?
