Default Relearning TPMS????

so I bought new wheels last year and never installed the sensors..i had the light on and didnt really care..well I am getting rid of the car and I just traded someone their 2012 stock 18" and tires with sensors..The car is still showing the light..is there a way to reset the TPMS or do I need to go to the dealer..I am not looking to buy a tool since I am trading the car in.

Go to the dealer to have them synced if you don't want to buy the remote. Not sure how much it would cost though.

I just called the dealer and he told me there was no charge for this. So looks like I will be going that route

After a while, the ECU stops searching for the TPMS. Yes, the dealer would be the best option to reflash the car.
