I like it, I am old too. I would lower the gloss to match the stripes though. I don't like the gloss black on the matte black stripes.

It tends to look add-on-ish, unless it's painted the body color. It depends on the color of the stripes, if they blend well together. Of course I'm OLD too.

Right now it's a little hard trying to find the exact same racing stripes I have, so I may have to check with my dealer and see if FORD has them available.

Like what others have said, for me, it'd have to be painted to match for it to look good imo. Idk, If I had a 2012, I wouldn't modify the stock hood at all and just wait to get an aftermarket hood. I think the stock hoods with no scoops look so clean and mean, I wouldn't want to touch it haha. Don't even know if I would stripe it because I'd be afraid of screwing with the natural hood lines.

I think it's a good temporary mod until you grab a new hood (you don't have to lecture here about a better half who gives you cocked-head looks at each mod you consider haha). Your ride is coming along very nicely, lopez. I think you're on the right track so far.

IMHO you should return it and save the money for a ram air cervini hood.
