I'm looking to dress up the rear of my 2012 MCA and I really like the glossy decklid panel on the 2013's. Ultimately I'm leaning towards tinting the breaklights and adding the panel.

Here's my conflict.

The 2013 oem panel from ford is 225.00 (ouch) but its legit. The aftermarket glossies are 50.00 but the feedback is 50/50. I like the idea of getting it from ford but the price difference has me hesitating.

Any thoughts or feedback? Anybody add a 2013 decklid panel to their 2012?

do you want to keep the faux gas cap on there? the CDC decklid panels for 2010-2012 is beautiful, and deletes it. about half the price of the oem ford panel.

Exactly JB! I love the look too and I think I'm going to pull the trigger on fords 2013 decklid. In the end its the only thing I'll be satisfied with.

I installed a 2013 panel on my 2012. I bought mine as a takeoff. There are people taking them off and going with other panels.

Did you have to remove the original fake gas cap or did it fit

The 13 panel has the faux cap molded into the panel. You remove the factory one, cut off the clips and screw towers on the stock 13 panel. Get it nice and smooth and use some 3m dbl sided tape to hold it into place.
