Phase 1 of "Blackout" complete
So, my hubby finished up blacking out his lights on his 2012 and he did my headlight, side markers and quarter markers. I had to order tint for the third brake light until my custom tint comes in. Also, had to order tint for the fog lights because the smoked covers are on backorder from American Muscle. I have the worst luck with backordered items from them.
Here's mine...
Here's his...
Plus, he got his rear "street" wheels. They are 15" by 8" wide. Then for the track, exact same wheel but 15" by 10" wide with drag radials.

Please keep posting pics of your progress. I'd like to smoke out my lights but I'm afraid to do it because the color of the car is dark. I personally like dark shading around the corners but i dont know. Both cars look great!

That all looks REALLY GOOD!! I've wanted to do that to mine for months, but I know the cops would nail me. HL & TL would be ok in the daytime but they'd ticket me for TS & BL & get me for ALL of them after dark. How do you beat the light laws in Texas??

On the Mrs' 2013 with the HID's, it's not bad at all. On my 2012, I had to upgrade to silverstars. I could use a little brighter bulb..will probably end up doing HID's.

Good to know, as i picked up Lamin-x head and tail light tints for my '13 and i was hoping it wasnt a huge difference. Mind you going from my beat up 99 jetta winter beater to a 13 mustang with HIDs the light will be amazingly better.
