I got the 5.0 emblem on today. Anyone who has the CDC panel knows it has the ridges in it and I wanted the emblem to fit flush, so I whipped out the Dremel and went to shaving and this is how it turned out.

I don't know Joe, I'm going to study that picture a little more. Maybe a smaller 5.0 emblem? It's unique though.

I think it is awesome, got rid of that big bulky fake gas cap and now you know that it is a 5.0. It is not really all that big just took some up close pics so you would be able to see how it is flush with the rest of the panel. Here is a pic from a little further away.

I got the same panel, but I got the flat black emblem and then painted it to match my side emblems. (darkshadow grey so it was just a hint darker than the body)
It looks like yours was attached one rib lower than mine was, I would have moved mine but after removing the emblem and cleaning the ribs there was a noticeable change in the texture of the rib. Probably due to a little bit of 3m adhesive remover I used to clean off the remnants of the tape
