what rims are these?
I just traded in my 06 Mustang GT for a brand new 2013 5.0 from Grapevine Ford in Texas. this is my first BRAND NEW car and i'm loving it! this thing is fully loaded. Just a couple questions for you guys/girls.
I've got the 3.31 gearing i beleive because the sticker says
Axle Promo Package -995.00
if i change the gearing would I have to get a tuner for it. or would ford be able to do something without a tuner?
any recalls/tsb/issues I should keep an eye out for?
and my last question and biggest reason for this post. I cannot find ANY info on my stock rims on this model. I've got the premium and going thru fords website i dont see these as an option in the "build your car" thing. I've search google image only finding a website called flatpyramid that made 3d models on youtube of these rims.

if you change the gears and don't reprogram the computer the speedometer will be off...not sure if Ford can do that or not.....if you're planning to add mods down the road, go ahead and get a tuner

From the Build Order sheet:
64X is the build order option/RPO code. I know American Muscle sells 20" versions of those designed by Chip Foose, but the silver linings are thinner on his model than Ford's.
19" X 8.5" Bright MachinedAluminum Wheel with Black
painted Windows
Optional on GT Premium
{400A/401A}

awesome thanks fellas. one more question. i know the 05-09 model if you put on a cold air intake system then you had to have a tuner to keep from throwing a code. that still apply to the 11-14 models?

Airaid has a CAI with a block off type of thing inside to restrict the air, and that is the only one I know of that does not require a tune. Then once you get a tuner, you can remove the inside piece and get the full benefit. Its a nice cost effective option, but I would wait and buy a better one along with a tuner all at once. Most other CAI's have shown more HP gain on the dyno. Nice car, looks sharp with the tinted windows.

Very minimal gains from adding a CAI on the Coyote's. The "implied" gains, are coming primarily from the tune. If you feel you need to spend the money for the bling, go for it, but if you're doing it for HP, save your money and just get a stock air box tune. I'm using stock air box, stock exhaust, stock factory F1 Tires, and 3.15 gears, with suspension mods, and have run a best of 12.18 @ 111, followed by a 12.21, 12.28
