Default Boss Splitter/CS Fascia Install 2012 GT

Installing a Boss/CS front fascia and Boss splitter tomorrow... Can I fit the splitter to the fascia while both pieces are off the car? I have seen several threads where the fascia was installed and then the splitter from under the car. Or some have removed the entire bumper. Basically, I want to know if I can connect the splitter to the fascia and install the entire package to the bumper. I would think the splitter would make the fascia less flexible and tough to fit over the corners of the bumper if attached. Also, do the mounting screws for the splitter go through the fascia and into the bumper? Thanks for any help, I have searched! I put a CDC chin on last year so I'm familiar with how to mount the fascia.

I have seen people fix the splitter to the fascia and then install the whole thing as a unit onto to the car. you should be ok.

On my 13 Boss I had to remove the bumper to install the splitter bracket. Once that was installed I had to drill holes into the factory Boss street splitter. That had some u-nuts that slipped into it and then the splitter bolted to it.

10-12's are different from the 13+'s. The 12 boss splitter does not connect to a bracket, just drilled in to the bottom of the fascia/bumper. Going to knock this out this evening. Will provide info...

I installed the splitter while the fascia was off the car...worked fine. Make sure to have a bunch of hand clamps as they make fitting and drilling the holes a ton easier. And you should look at the instructions, they call for a strange drill bit size and I didn't realize until the bumper was already off the car.

Got it on... I just took the bumper cover off the car due to no ramps and only 2 more bolts than what you already have to remove. Pretty straight forward. The metal clamps/bolts from Ford were a real pain, hard to get them started in the threads. They ask for a 25/64 drill bit, I used a 3/8 and bored the holes out a little bit larger. The 3/8 drill bit really bites and moves fast, there's a few spots where I almost went through the fascia towards the outside edges where it meets the bumper! You can't tell in the pic but I will most likely spray paint the inner bumper cover black because you can see red through the fog light holes.

Man those White 5.0's look good!!! I got mine right before the 13's came out, all the PW Brembos were gone, so settled for RR.

Guess I should clarify, you need the bracket if you run the LS splitter. The regular street splitter like you put on no. Those just bolt onto the bottom of the 13 bumper.
