Default 2012 premium Mycolor cluster on a 2012 base

Has any1 done it? What did it take?,I have searched ALOT can't find a real answer only a lot of maybes I know about the pats, I just want to know if the color features work etc, I found a premium cluster with 20 miles more than my current one for 120 so I jumped on it

Well cluster arrived, installed it to check if everything works and the answer is yes all 6 Gage's seem to function as I already knew car wont start (PATs) ill update this post once I go to the dealer.

Dealer changed it, car turns on but now the settings involving MyColor are removed (they worked when I tested the cluster) so taking it back to the dealer.

Update: guy had to get some info from a premium equipped mustang (one on their lot) everything now works it looks sick!

Good to hear. I was going to tell you to make sure they update the "build data" in the gauge to make sure the gauge is able to talk with the PCM. Glad you were able to get it all figured out. How much did the dealer charge you for install?

I bought the cluster on eBay for 120 with identical miles meaning I didn't have to get my miles fixed.

Well it had 47 miles more than my car but by the time I received it and put it on it was identical eBay is ur friend I highly recommend every base model stang to do this makes ur interior a lot better everything in total cost me 270 bucks

I'll have to look into that. If the miles are way off, can the dealer fix them when they do the install?
