Angry Clear Coat Peeling 2013

Dam, washed the car yesterday, blowing the heavy dirt off with the power washer, now keep in mind the pressure is not all that great, turned way down. I knocked out a big chunk of clear coat off. Must have hit stone chip or something. This pisses me off. Gonna try and take it back to the dealer and see what they can do. I’m sure they will say there is nothing they can do under warranty and make me pay for the repair. I guess we’ll see, Has anybody else had issues with the clear coat on a 2013. The area where it is off is on the front piece just infront of the hood where the grill is right on top. it's like the size of a silver dollar

Sounds like from your description it's on the bumper which shouldn't chip or peel at all, even if you did take a big rock or something it shouldn't peel like that, especially on the front bumper which from what I've been told is painted with special paint designed to flex and take the abuse of rocks etc. Take it back and demand action.

This just Fu##ing pisses me off, I just went out to get a pic of the area did not come out to good so not posting it. Plan on taking it to the dealer some time this week and see what they will do. Location is just infront of the hood don't know what that piece is actually called right above the upper grill,

Yup - there is no that the clear should simply release from the paint . . . Somehow the paint surface was contaminated and then cleared . . . The clear coat is releasing from the contamination. The chip just happened to start it.

Glad to learn your dealer took care of this for you, Chazman_1962. Now you can enjoy your ride again.
