Panel between tail light, aftermarket
Well, since I was not satisfied with the factory tail light panel on my trunk lid, and FORD could not correct the warranty issue, I decided to replace that panel by going after-market. I ordered CJ Ponyparts tail light panel and just got finished with the installation. I must say, it really makes the rear of my 2014 Mustang GT look different. Installation was a piece of cake. If anyone cares, the $128 tax included panel was very well constructed, and arrived in perfect condition. No more faux fuel cap either!

Yep, I understand your thoughts on this, and it's a valid point. But, the matte black look matches the portion of plastic on both sides of the license plate panel. You will see what I mean when I take the picture and place it in "my garage". But you be the judge.

Okay, I took a decent picture of the rear of my car this morning while at my shop. Please check out "My Garage" photos in my profile for the picture. You will notice that the new panel matches the lower portion of the license plate panels.

*PS: Looks good but I had a similar one on my '10 and it faded pretty quick.
