Lowing/Stance-Change
Hi all,
I have a S197 that I am looking to have lowered and give it a more aggressive stance. I always thought the car sits too high with too much space between the fender-well and the top of the tire.
Has anyone tried this and are there any unforeseen consequences that might be worth noting?
Thanks!
Mark

Definitely worth doing your homework over to see the best options for you. I would beware of just adding a few parts as lowering the car changes the geometry and can cause other parts to wear faster. At a minimum you will probably need an adjustable panhard bar as the rear end will likely shift to one side when you lower it.
I just installed the Ford Racing handling pack on my 14 GT including shocks, struts, lowering springs, GT-500 strut mounts, front & rear sway bars, adjustable panhard bar, etc. I got it new at a great price and even after getting it re-aligned only have about $1000 in the whole setup. Drop was minimal at 1" but the look and handling qualities are like night and day.
