Default Options for gauge and ac vent bezel replacement?

basically, I have a chrome bezel that goes around my speedometer, tach, and ac vents. this looks cool, but the sun reflects off the chrome ac vent bezel directly into my eyes. who makes something aftermarket to replace them with? matte black would be ideal... thanks!

I don't think that anyone has an aftermarket option. I removed mine (easy to pull out, have to remove a couple of screws for the gauge cluster) then used some flat clear on the chrome to reduce the glare.

I did white face gauge overlays at the same time.

remember where the screws were? or for the center vents? I didn't really think of spray painting them. Don't really do a lot of interior stuff. more of a speed guy myself...

The vents remove easily -- just reach in and pull straight back. I painted the "brushed aluminum" center black because I liked the look better.

The screws in the gauge bezel are at the top and bottom. Drop the steering wheel to the full down position and you should be able to see them.

I did something similar to Jim. I used several green scotch brite pads and lightly brushed in the same direction following the curves. It has a nice brushed nickel look to it now. Took a few hours but looks so much better and it dulls the sun.

If you want black, I'd just paint em flat black.

Awesome guys. Does that apply to the center dual vent enclosure too? I'm not seeing any screws there... I'll probably do flat black, and I'll post pics when done for giggles. I wonder if I could get some carbon fiber adhesive or something... I like the brushed look a lot to be honest!

For the center vents and the side vents, just reach in with your thumb and forefinger and you can pull the vents out. Pull straight back. Check online for the Roush vent pod instructions; they tell you exactly how to do it.

Here is my center chrome bezel. Is it going to come out the same way your's do? I read somewhere the dash had to get pulled to pop this one out.

For some reason I thought you had a 2005-09.

I'm not sure how that one comes out, but will be watching. I want to do the same thing to my 2013 - with the top down and sun behind there is a lot of glare off the "chrome" accents.
