Sorry guys, but just like a lot of people, I hated the rear end styling of the 2010 up Mustangs when they came out. It looked like a Celica and I figured I'd never own one because of it. Then when the new 5.0 appeared I figured a way around my problem. I usually buy a damaged car and style it up with a body kit, custom hood and wheels. So why not buy a 2011 5 litre car hit in the rear and style it my way. I just started doing that yesterday with a 08 donor car. I'll be installing 69 or 70 tail lights. [I've done that before on my 05]
I'll have more pics later sometime as I plan to work at this project all winter.

Sounds like a great idea! I have an 07, I would love to have the 5.0 motor, but I hate what they did to the rear end. Keep us updated on your progress.

I think most people are waiting to see how to turns out when it's completed. I had an 05-09 and the squared rear matched the squared front. The 10-14 Mustangs definitely have a more rounded look to them. Any picture updates?

No pics for a while. Busy at other things. BTW this car is also getting an APR wide body kit.

Roughed into shape.
APR wide body quarter panels are a bit short due to being designed for the bobtail 10-up model, so I a blending them into a fiberglass rear spoiler.
Fiberglass top edge of the 05-up bumper cover will be blended into the APR wide body bumper cover.
