just to clear it up for you, when you install an off road midpipe it triggers the CEL because the computer is thinking that the cats aren't working since you don't have any. so the purpose of the mil eliminators is to change the voltage that the computer sees from the o2 sensors thus tricking it into thinking the cats are present and working
