Hi there, first post here, i drive a 95 automatic GT and im looking for some help with my intake manifold. I have this obbsession with getting a 95 cobra intake in there (the svt of course) to replace my stock one but im not sure if this combo i cameup with will work.
Im sure most of you are aware there is a cobra intake kit for a 302 out, but thats for 86-93 fox stangs. Well i found a place to buy a brand new Lower Intake but i cant find a place to purchase an upper. I later found out that the kit for 86-93 stangs has the same upper manifold simply with out an egr adaptor.
SO i figured i could buy a brand new lower intake from the site, match it with an upper for a 93 and put on a egr elbow i already have and slap it all together.
Thank you for reading i really need help and im not interessted in much aftermarket manifolds. So if this will work out let me know if not please tell OR if you know where i can buy a brand new upper 94-95 cobra intake let me know. Thank you.

the lower stock GT and Cobra intakes vary greatly. You wont be able to stick a upper GT on a Cobra Lower. Totally different. The cobra intakes flow really good. try www.mustangsunlimited.com or go on Ebay. There you can buy a complete upper and lower. The Explorer intake is the same as a Cobra, so If you found a V8 explorer, rob the intake off of it. Same thing part numbers and all.

Look on ebay and the for sale forums for a 94-95 intake, but I warn you, they are very rare and can sell for a high price. I've been looking for 3 months, and all sold really high, only reason I finally got my 94 Cobra intake is because I got one hell of a deal, and was lucky as hell.

93 Cobra intakes won't be just a straight swap, there are other parts needed, other than the egr, that need to be swaped. Yes, you can make it work, but you'll need to track down some old foxbody parts to do so. Also, if it's the Cobra intake that has ford racing near the intake port, then it's not a real ford racing product, it's made in China and may have some slight fitment issues, nothing that can be fixed with a little tinkering, just fore warning you. Also, if it is the one made in China, it may need a little port/polish work as it may be a mass production product, and could have the same natural defects all mass produced intakes have that need porting/polishing to remove. Yes, my 94 has them, which is why I'm having it ported/polished.

no no im not taking my uppper gt intake on a cobra lower lol srry i meant im taking it from the kit for the fox stangs cobra intake cuz the upper intake from that KIT is the same minus egr my stock intake has nothing to do with it and ive looked into the explorer but the upper looks like crap and if ima spend tht much money might as well look good too lol yes ebay ive tried but ill try that site thank you but still could use help

you would be better off buying a explorer intake... its the same thing but easier to find
