Default remove ignition switch?

how do i remove the igniton switch for my car? i am just trying to get it from my '91 lx to my 87' gt. i am pretty sure they are the same but i don't have a manual to look at, my haynes sucks and couldn't find it. so if you guys could tell me how i would greatly apprechiate it as i am working on my car right now.

not sure what its called but the part the key goes into. you can move it freely without the key and it will give power and such to the car so i need that switched. i already replaced the part where the wires go into, which i guess would be electrical.

Remove the plastic covering on the column. Turn the key to the on position. Look under where the lock cylinder goes into the column. There will be a lil pin sticking down through the column. Push the pin upward, remove the lock cylinder. Install in reverse. The lock cylinder MUST be in the on (not run)position for the the pin to depress.
