last night, i was running low on gas, i went to the gas station, but my atm card was declined, so i couldn't get gas, took the car home, fuel needle was extremely low, warning says 15 miles range left.


today, got in the car, it won't ****ing start. try about 20 times, then just let it sit, then try a couple more times, it starts. battery is full. look on the gas gauge, needle is showing about a quarter tank, and range says about 55 miles. huh. interesting. so i take my car to go get gas. its idling pretty low, about 100 rpms lower than usual. hmmm. interesting. i open the gas cap. the little metal flip tab underneath the screw off cap, well, its ****ing torn off. fantastic.





does anyone know how to tell if theres something in the tank other than gasoline? i loaded my 87 tune instead of 93 and im taking it super easy on the car. im so ****ing nervous.

**** off any women lately?I'm sure you could get a locking gas cap at autozone or something. If not 50resto has them for like 19 bucks or something.

I wouldn’t drive the car until you drain and flush the fuel system. I can only see someone putting something in your tank if it would damage your engine.

I have a locking gas cap just for this reason. Basically I **** people off all the time and most people are cowards and would rather sugar your gas tank than risk a punch in the nose.

i second that.

i live in a gated community, can't think of anyone i've pissed off lately......other than an extremely riced out pontiac sunbird who was tailing me for 10 miles on the freeway, i brakechecked him. thats about all i can think of. and theres no way he could know where i live.



i can't think of who would do this. but a lot of people in my neighboorhood have recently had their car broken into and stufff.

yes, thats a good point. but, i wouldn't expect that somone would go through the trouble of doing that, can't think of anyone i've pissed off driving-wise.

The best way to tel is to get a fuel sample and see if it seperates. The only thing I really don't like about the locking gas cap is that a see quite a few that come into my work that have evap leaks do to the cap.
I would go the route of a locking fuel door.
