dodge dealer took the challenger from 45,000 to 28,000 still chose stang, 6 ft 240, i let dealer drive the stang while i sat in back seat, and was satisfied with room there so i knew in driver seat would be great, never drove til i signed for it and left lot. one of most solid cars ever owned gm's always have some rattle or noise, like my new caddy, burning wire smell no one at dealer can find, i took in 3 times so when burns up documented.

not that much, hate to break it to ya..................it ain't beating the GT in a race, the torque of the GT will lauch it out there where the 6 can't catch up. like these guys at work with a cavilar with 4 and NOS might run fast on a long haul but not off the line.

Dude that totally slipped my mind....
Didn't even think about torque...gah.
Oh well ......maybe if the GT had stock 3.31's and the six had 3.90's or 4.10's

sorry dude, totally forgot about how important torque was.

Customer loyalty for any car companies is way down already, why risk it with this move? I am not saying this engine line up isn't great, I'm happy Ford give the Mustang bigger *****, but why didn't they just do it all in 2010, or all in 2011?
It's called Marketing, it's not about you
Ford had to wait and see how people would respond to GM and Mopar more performant cars.
Make sure the market is there despite a bad economy etc...
The timing goes with the market demand, not with the cars already sold.

oh it's no big deal. i'm new to this and listen to all these sea lawyers out there, when had mine tuned went from 275 torque to 318, and 282 to 300 rwhp without going into engine they told me torque was huge for that pull away fact, my stock gears as with all these new GT'S are 3.73 i think.

I am kind of disappointed in the 11s torque, it only has 40 more then mine. I care more about torque then HP since mine is mainly a city driver, I rarely ever see top end HP. The torque has always been reasonably higher then the HP in Mustangs, but its reversed in the 11s. I guess it appeals more to a different kind of driver.

On a side note of the motor...it would be cool if they came out with an independent rear suspension

Sure... useless on the street anyway and that would raise the price tag big time.

I wouldn't say useless on the street, and i'm not saying its not all that much better than a live rear axle. Just depend on where and how you drive it. Do I think ford will give us a IRS..nope at least not anytime soon, but if they're bumping up the HP to compete with the camaro then why not try and match what they are doing with their suspension.

I honestly can't believe it. They really stepped up their game. If the 5.0 receives these improvements, there is no way the camaro will keep up. Power is one thing, but the SIX SPEED transmissions are GREAT. V6 performance edition looks SHARP.
