Stock setup is nice, except for the cast iron manifolds. 2¼" all the way back with an x-pipe - all stainless. Quiet yes, but gets the job done. I'm with LostBoyz... mine is also mellowing out a little. Mine just turned 2500 today.

If you truly want a V8 rumble, you'll need 2 more cylinders. The Borla system sounds nice, but what about low RPM cruising on the freeway or the open highway - how bad will it drone? Ask any T'Bird Super Coupe owner.

After driving a 5.oh, it takes a little getting used to, but I've been getting 28 mpg to work and back on a 100 mile a day commute... no complaints on the drive train or the exhaust. And it will run with the "big dogs" in the fast lane (at least until it hits the limiter at slightly over 110). Gawd! Will somebody please come out with a hand held tuner for this car!!!!

I'd like to see some stainless tubular headers soon, but for now, the stock exhaust setup is fine for me. To each his own.

That is all...

Update I'm a mod addict somebody help me or give me more mod money
completely new exhaust system installed using a hooker aero chamber 25" overall 4" thick dual 2.25" inlets/dual 2.5" outlets, the tips are chrome 4" slash cut rolled&resonated.
Sound is nice even and deep eliminated the popping on decel that I had with the other setup actually seems quieter on cruising no drone at all even lugging along up a hill at 1400rpm I can't wait until it burns in some should sound even better plus you can't beat the cost muffler $68 ebaymotors, tips $39 ebaymotors, install labor at a local shop Exhaust Wizard off lawrenceville highway, the owner Skip is a great guy very knowledgeable about cars especially American muscle hooked me up nicely $75 for everything

shot with the apexi still on to compare looks

finished product

... looks great! Most impressive is no drone! I'd like to ditch the stock mufflers simply because they just look awful hangin' out under the rear valance. Will keep Skip in mind. Right now, mine's just a daily driver; but I'd sure like to see a hand-held tuner for this car! Kill the speed limiter... first thing. It's got a 160 mph speedo, and it tops out at 112 mph.

I'm south of Atlanta along I-75... about 4 miles due east of Summit Racing.

Just as an addition to the thread, MagnaFlow makes dual-in-dual out mufflers as well. They're all stainless steel, available as polished also.:

Magnaflow

Available from Summit:

Summit Racing

Might find them cheaper than Summit with a little searching.

That is all...

yeah true, take a sound clip on yours, that would be awsome to hear it, and see if I like it or not, before spendiing

i definitely agree that the exhaust is way to quiet to even sound like a muscle car...

If anyone orders one of these magnaflow's or other brands and like it after installation, please let me know =)

The corsa sounds similar to the MRT... tad bit too ricey for my taste... The flowmasters sound like stock but louder..

I think my mind is set for the Borla Atak
