hey guys i have a question about switching out the stock wheels and tires and also the rear diff gears.

switching out wheels and tires , will this turn on the annoying check engine or check tire light on ? if so can the dealer fix this issue with their electronic equipment?

was thinking since the 3.7 starts pulling about 4k it would really shine with some 3.73's but im sure this would require a tune so the dealer wont know you have tampered with the rear diff.

all this will help me determine what v6 model to purchase in the coming months.

1000 miles on new stang v6 6speed. I have that shudder sometimes on down shift and down hill. IT IS MORE THAN SHOULD BE NORMAL! As others have said, the whole car can vibrate to the point the you think something is wrong! It almost feels like you are on rumble stips! ford better address this issue soon. I am not happy

Hi to all, I'm Steve and I do have the 2011 mustang 3.7 Of cors my car has the same problem, the vibaration on decel 2500 2800rpm. The vibaration is not normal at all.
I'm not a mechanic but you do not have to be one to know. My car is in the shope right now and seams to me they have no idea what in the problem.
They have replaced the drive shaft already and the problem is still there so I have to drive a focus untill they figure out what is wrong.

I just turned 3000 miles on my 2012 3.7 with a MT, I noticed the vibration/shutter a few times when down shifting. This is my first mustang but my impression was that this vibration was normal. I know I have felt it in other vehicles under the same conditions (only worse). My thoughts were that everything else about the vehicle is so smooth that the contrast of this shutter really stood out, but that it didn't mean something was wrong, it is just the inertia of the vehicle fighting the resistance of the drive train.

I saw this on another website (allmustangs)
There is a TSB from Ford, they say it is normal.

21524 2011 Mustang - 3.7L Dual Mass Vibration

Some 2011 Mustang vehicles equipped with a 3.7L V6 engine and MT82 manual transmission may exhibit a vibration felt in the shifter, and/or the seat track and steering wheel, on deceleration between 3500 and 2000 engine rpm. This is normal operational characteristic and no repairs are required or recommended.

Effective Date: 09/27/2010

--- "What this one means is that were stuck with the vibration. I talked the my buddy and he even has it on his Shelby. He has tried a new flywheel and clutch along with a one piece driveshaft. He says it only made it worse."

Yep....stuck with it,second nature...now that I have had a '10 GT, drove 10,000 miles with stock DS, then I put a one piece aluminum drive shaft on ....I think in my mind was smoother, better, but now that I sold that car, got the '11 V6, I know that that all it really did was relieve about 17 lbs of extra weight over the stock DS....that $600 to $700 could go to a better mod IMO....triple NV Gauge Tree on door post...that looks cool and is about $500 with 3 installed. Like this
