And to confuse things a little more lol...........if you have the right packahge you can run in sport mode
Button pressed
twice quickly while brakes
applied
Sport mode (if
equipped)
ESC Enabled AND TCS Enabled
AdvanceTrac Sport Mode (if equipped)
The AdvanceTrac system provides an available sport mode on some
models.
Sport mode is not intended for use on public roadways as this mode
provides less AdvanceTrac system intervention than when the default
ESC and traction control systems are on. Sport mode will allow more
spirited driving while the AdvanceTrac system is still enabled.

“The new Performance Package delivers on fast, fun and affordable, combining the all-new 2011 V-6 with Mustang GT prowess,” said Dave Pericak, Mustang chief nameplate engineer. “It’s a true sports car for the new generation and a smart choice for the environmentally-conscious enthusiast. It is a perfect marriage of power, performance and value.”
Borrowing from the Mustang GT, the Performance Package includes numerous suspension, braking and body stiffening upgrades to deliver unparalleled handling performance. That road-holding is helped by a near-equal front/rear weight distribution, providing exceptional transient response along with the car’s slimmed-down curb weight of less than 3,500 pounds.
2011 Mustang Performance Package upgrades include:
A 3.31 rear axle ratio for quicker off-the-line acceleration
Mustang GT coupe front and rear stabilizer bars
Mustang GT front struts and rear shocks/springs
Shelby GT500 rear lower control arm
Unique 19-inch wheels
Pirelli performance tires for improved grip
Mustang GT front and rear brake calipers with Performance Friction pads
A strut tower brace for increased body rigidity
Unique electronic stability control calibration with Sport mode for performance driving
Unique badging

Have you owners of 2013-14 Mustang GTs noticed that when you take off your traction control and the stability control, that the steering defaults automatically to the "sport-feel steering"? Mine does this, and when I first noticed this, I checked it out by scrolling through the dashboard controls. I was right, it was locked in for "sport-steering".

And to confuse things even more... even when you think you've turned everything off, it's still on! Case in point, I tried to do donuts in my 2011 5.0 the other day with everything turned off, but only made about one full circle before advancetrac kicked BACK on and shut down the party. That was crap! Next time I'll unplug one of the ABS sensors to see if that disables the system.

That's the same thing I do every time I get in my car. And I thought it was totally disabled... until I tried to do donuts.
