idk if $3k for brakes is money well spent towards an appearance mod

not tracking it, but what I meant was the cost of stock vs those 3k brakes, cause say insurance will pay 1500.00 for stock brakes, and those cost 3k my cost 1500, the shop said i can upgrade i just pay difference, but like those around that don't go to the track, but upgrade their suspension for the feel on highway and looks , thats what i want, if going to put something better under car why not do it, your getting parts at a discount and not paying out of your pocket for labor, it's like buying at bargin prices and you got a mechanic doing the work for free, as i said earlier, the ford racing rear end better in build and looks and is less than a stock rear end....so far have not heard what the damage is, so don't even know if frame bent or what..i can say the pipes are pushed over and not centered and they don't have a mark on them....also can't see why bigger brakes could hurt, or better than stock. probably never putting on track again, cause I tracked my '10 GT it stuck and ran fine down track, I'm still trying to wrap my head around how when i was standing on that track while they towed my car, i could barely lift my feet off track was so tacky, I don't care how over inflated they say my tires were i had same air in a more powerful car, with a manual tranny too, how could that 6'er just keep burning those tires....hell maybe cause i had 3.73 in gt and 3.31's in this car, are those going to allow those tires to spin that much easier, i'm just, like still shaking my head how a 6 banger could not run straight down a track on a perfect day..sorry. hell could there have been oil, was the armor all that big a factor, if i knew was going down to track days in advance i would never armor all them but i was surprised track was open and just did on a spere of moment thing...oh well... oh how wish this run last weekend, this baby ran straight and true..........

there i was a 2nd class MS.........THAT WAS '81 damn i still look the same, that was a 9 month cruise, that was when Iran had our hostages for the 444 days, man was long cruise, never pulled into port.....anyway shop called, they are at $10,000 in repairs so far, only part I'm upgrading so far is the ford racing 8.8 rear end,$1000.00, comes with 31 spline axle and 3.55 gears, so up from 3.31, that should feel good, whats cool is that rear end $200 less than a stock rear end. the rear window louvers got damaged in towing, so they banged the roof so instead repair roof, and i did not know this, the roof is a replacement part, so i said if coming off how about replace w/ glass roof....not getting that lol...4600.00 just in parts, it's like 5 parts the glass $2200.00 the other 4 parts like $400 each....so stock roof $315.00 huge difference, so think never noticed the cost difference between the solid and glass roof....update later, may go stock brakes if can't get a good deal, need to find out the price giving for stock brakes.

you guys with the tuners that you got from AM / bama tunes, were you able to adjust from your stock gears to what you put in, mine will be a little different when I get my tunes cause stock computer was for 3.31's so i will need to adjust so guess that tuner will work right?

and found the 2 kits that I want to add, don't get me wrong i love the wheels that came on car, but if they are allowing 1,000 $ for 2 wheels, the one package comes w/ brembo front brake system, special maching pads for rear, all the stainless lines and 4 GT500 18" wheels for 1999.00 free shipping no tax and the M-FR3-MV6A track kit for 1200.00, but won't be that much cause the swap out of stock parts...lowers car a inch, i should end up w/ nice set up.

I did adjust the auto from it`s origional 2.73 to 3.55 with the AM-BAMA tune. Was 100% on according to my Garmin portable. The adjustment is easy and in all three of my tunes. Yours too, I`ll bet.
