They get updates on Saturday's and Tuesday's. I came in last Saturday to schedule the lifter tick fix and it had just come across the oasis system.

mines no where near as bad as some of those guys who are completely locked outta 2nd but I still cringe from 1-2 with the clunking

YES! ITS NOT JUST ME! I was just telling a friend tonight that the only downfall is the transmission. My dealer told me that this was normal. I can't wait to bring it in. I'm not angry, I just want my problem gone

Rough shifts seem to be on build dates before August...here's the post from another thread. Can you guys verify that your build date is before August?

just read that ...they said GT not V6, BUILT AUGUST '10 & LATER?

here's the post below?
if J above is speaking the truth, any GT built in late August last year or later have had upgraded syncros. I assume his dealership told him that; I cannot find any info anywhere that says this.
If your car's build date was earlier than August 2010, then your tranny is like mine without the new purported syncros.

gt and v6 have the same mt82 trans

Also, mine is bit clunky when its cold, but after I've driven for a bit it feels just fine. This seems rather normal to me from past vehicles I've driven. I will keep an eye on this thread to see what you guys come up with.

My vehicle was built in april 10

UPDATE: My dealer now says Ford is "investigating" the fluid issue and says to do nothing. This is completely the opposite of what they said when they scheduled the appointment. They do however want to change the clutch pressure-plate bolts.

My apologies to anyone I've sent on a wild goose chase.

Fits. Mine has a late May build date. Service manager is saying the same thing. Ford says to do nothing now, they are investigating. Toothy shift into second and notchy into third sometimes fourth depending on how cold it is. 20 degrees, it's horrible...60, not so much. When the car is warm, it's buttershift.

Alrighty fellas, let no one say I don't contribute to the forum.

Here is analysis reports on a new bottle of transmission fluid compared to what came in my transmission from the factory.

The analysis was $50 and the fluid was $30 a quart. Enjoy!
