2012 V6 vs older Honda with GSR motor?
Here's an interesting development:
Two of my neighbours yesterday were discussing because one of them is buying a used Honda today, I forget if it's a civic or one of those older Acura Integras and it will have the "Beloved GSR" motor. During their discussion the soon-to-be car owner commented "bye bye Mustangs" when referring to the performance of the GSR motor lol.
So I decided to explain to him that he would be surprised about the performance of the new Mustangs and told him how much HP I have stock. He was surprised and asked if it was a GT, to which I replied it was "only" the V6. Had to also explain briefly that it was not supercharged either(he's this ignorant yet is confident enough to put a lot of faith in torqueless honda motors).
Anyways, I'm wondering if I should challenge him to a race at the local drag-strip? From some digging arround I did those GSR engines have 170hp, which means that even in a 2200lbs car, I still destroy him in power to weight (And considering a full 1 second difference in 0-60 times between the V6 stang and the new sonata Turbo, which has a nearly identical power-to-weight, I am also thinking that our setup si highly efficient at delivering said power to the wheels). Let's not forget the meatier powerband.
What do you all think?

Tuner boys, sheesh.
Allow me to add my usual, "Don't race him on the street." disclosure. Keep the racing at the track. Having said that, I hope you teach him a lesson he won't soon forget.
PS, just for kicks I looked up the Civic si times.
A 1992 Civic si hatchback had the staggering times of 8.3 zero to sixty and 16.3 in the quarter mile.
He can't even beat the previous generation 3.8 Mustangs with that. lol

Ahh well if he were to get lucky and beat me then good for him I guess. I will still be satisfied knowing that I have the power I have with all the modern creature compforts, safety and tech stuff :P
