2012 V6 Engine looks scaley

29 MPG in a 5.0.
As a previous 5.0 owner, I can honestly tell you it is possible.
What you do is drive your car 14 miles and then drive it up on to a flatbed carrier
and have the carrier go 15 miles. It would be close but you might get as much as
29 MPG. Also, if you live in the Rocky Mts., you could start at the top of the mountain
and put it in neutral and roll down hill for 29 miles.
On a similar note, I have always found those stickers saying you will get XX MPG /City
and XX MPG /Hwy to be such a joke. I maybe got the so called City when driving on an
empty interstate.

Reading this thread has been, interesting to say the least...
1) I have a '13 V6, and got a legitimate 33-34 mpg driving down to Daytona Beach, Florida (from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) It was with the Bama Race tune and intake, but I was doing 80-85 practically the whole way.
2) The Glass Roof is amazing, I have it with Saddle Interior, and I swear, it doesn't get hotter in the car if you leave the shade open or not. It is very well protected from the heat of the sun, all you get is the natural sunlight, which, being in Florida, is amazing.

Normal. I bought a 2006 Mercury Milan & it looked just like that. The only thing I did not like is that the aluminum oxidizes like crazy & looks like crap. On my 2013 V6, I sprayed the bare engine with clear enamel to hopefully ward it off.

I have a 2012 with 3,000 miles. Same thing. Here's a picture of my block - click original to blow it up. http://www.pbase.com/dwever/image/146361614/large
