Gear Change

Gear Change
Replacing gears on my 2012 Mustang V6 manual (2.73 to 3.73 FRPP). Vehicle has less than 3000 miles on it. Bought gears and Rear Gear Pinion Bearing. Should I purchase the Rear End Installation and Bearing Kit? And if so, which one; Motive $74.95 or FRPP $149.99? Thanks in advance.

When I had my gears installed my mechanic recommended the bearing kit, so i purchased a yukon bearing kit. Tobe honest I am happy I did because when he was pulling apart the stock carrier, the crush sleeves were a little worn unevenly, and also when you are trying to get the bearing off the pinion it usually breaks.
I said the same thing when getting my gears installed, "cars brand new, why would i need new bearings" but its just a piece of mind, and even more reason for your gears not to whine or prematurely wear.
Do it right once.

I purchased the installation + bearing kit from American Muscle for an additional $74, and glad I did. My installers used a lot of the parts in there.
I don't know of an FRPP option, unless you are referring to the $109.99 option which is for the traction-LOK which I didn't buy.
