What I paid
I have a 12 3.7 Vert Premium Pkg, Auto, Security Pkg, 202A maybe someting else that I don't recall.
I paid dealer invoice minus the $2,500 in incentives offered at the time minus my trade. They gave me a very fair $2,700 for a 2001 GMC Jimmy with 98,000 miles. In NYC that is the at the very top of what the trade was worth.
The key was I walked in and said this is what I will pay for the car and I will do the deal right now. That was in July, the dealer ordered the car I picked it up first week of Sept.
You can join Mustang Club of America and buy a car for the X-Plan price which is more or less the same as dealer invoice minus incentives. The advantage of X-Plan is a dealer won't hassle you at all if they participate. The dealer I went to was smart enough that I was going to buy the car at my terms either with him or a competitor so he said fine and sold me a car.

I bought a used 2011 V6 Premium Convertible....24,000 miles on it. Included a 100,000 Mile Ford ESP extended warranty. All dealer fees etc. (except the state taxes) for $21,500. It is an automatic, Red Candy, and has rear spoiler/side stripe appearance package...all of which add slightly to the price. Had a brand new sticker price of $34k.

Oh..and to the poster that said the "road noise is DEAFENINGLY loud". ??? Maybe with the top DOWN. With the top up I don't notice any more road noise than any other car I've ever owned or driven unless it's raining. And I even LIKE the sound rain makes on the top. The padding under the the vinyl top does a great job in my opinion dampening sound.

With the top down I just pump up the volume on the shaker cd and show the world my big grin :-)

I visited the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit about 3 years ago... and took a pic with the first mustang (SN001) it was a convertible no less... yes the first mustang was a convertible... and I would not want one that wasn't a vert... including the coupe i traded in for my current stang. JMO

It's All Relative
I'm just gonna put this out there, I paid 21,400 for my coupe. I drove a conv from ATL to houston last month. There is NO way I would ever own a conv. I love the stang but the road noise is DEAFENINGLY loud. If you modify ANY part of this car, you better have some bangin' car audio.
