Airaid or C&L Intake?
Hey guys, I have a C&L CAI installed on my car. I noticed that the housing has a bit of open space around the inlet tube, so that some amount of engine heat probably does make it into where the filter is. I noticed the Airaid is much more closed off from the engine heat. Which one performs better? I have a BBK 73mm throttle body installed as well. Thanks for the help!

My JLT has the same issue. Ive thought about taking some pipe insulator, the think round foam stuff, and filling that gap. Should be able to do it without making it 'tacky'.
A lot of folks have gone with the Airraid, and while visually it looks to be of better contstruction, you compromise that with the bottleneck in the intake tube. This is why I went with the JLT.
Quick question OP, whats the word on the bbk tb? I would assume they dont do a whole helluva lot for n/a motors, maybe unless you were running lt's. Just curious if you thought it was worth the coin. Thanks!
