Default Throttle response and down shift

I have a totally stock 12 vert auto. I am not happy with the delayed throttle response and down shift when I floor the pedal at low speed, like 30 and at low rpm because the car is in a high gear.

Is the only solution to buy a tuner and reprogram with a tune after telling the vendor such as Bama what I am looking to do?

as i understand it the ecu has a learning curve to it,
the throttle response with get sharper if you keep suddenly accelerating
although a tune would be the faster way to remedy this

I think the only real way to increase the throttle response would be gears. I had a tune and the response went away after a while. I also think something is wrong with my tranny so that also might be it.

My transmission is fine, it is just a delayed kickdown when the throttle is punched wide open at low speed and low rpm because the transmission is in a high gear.

You think the ecu learned it didnt need to shift as hard after a while of just leisurely driving? Try resetting he ecu and see how it drives then.
+1 on tune for faster shifts

Eh tired different tunes. When on a tune there is a huge shift shock when not even accelerating much at all.

I am certainly not an authority or expert about this, however it seems to me that if you had what you call shift shock you did not have a well designed tune.

Who provided the tune, was it anyone that we are all familiar with?

Bama, but the shift shock is now present when stock. Though it is not nearly as noticeable.
