Thumbs up Painted my calipers

I painted all 4 calipers red using Duplicolor caliper painting kit I found at Advance Auto Parts ($19.99). Kit included caliper cleaner and a small brush. After watching some You Tube videos, I decided to use sponge brushes I found at a craft shop (50 cents apiece).
What do you think?

That looks really good actually - does that caliper paint come with gloss? May have to revisit this idea, interested to see down the road how this holds up.

The red came out very glossy. No extra gloss paint. I'm also curious to see how the paint holds up.

Looks great! What kind of prep work did you do for the caliper?

First, I masked off the rotar. The kit included an aerosol can of caliper cleaner that you spray on the caliper. Then use a wire brush to remove any dirt and grime. I spayed it and brushed it several times. Let dry and start painting! Like I said, I used a small sponge paint brush. It worked very well. I gave each caliper 2 coats. If I would have had more time, I think I would have given them 3 coats.

Looks great. I might do the same, except go with black.

Do you have chrome wheels? If you do, I agree that black would look awesome. Post some photos if you do it.

Are those wheels part of the Premium package or track package?

Mustang Club of America (MCA) package. I've got the same ones on my Black V6 MCA.

The wheels are part of the MCA (Mustang Club of America) package. I thought red was the best color. I didn't think black would pop enough.
