This is what stops me from going Mustang. The '11 Focus is getting 39-40 mpg in mostly highway (not freeway) driving. With stick, it's fun to drive and has plenty of pep...if the a/c is off.

With the cops we have here, having any more fun would get expensive.

Yeah, I know; a Focus isn't cool. Neither am I.

i can get 30mpg at 60 with cruise on...general everyday driving 1 liter 10 kilometers
which equates to about 26mpg..
not a giant difference dude..we have a new citroen berlingo multispace that only manages a little better..easy driving and it's the same as say a v70 volvo

Just completed a 400 mile trip...80 deg. F, moderate wind. Got 28.4 MPG, with 2200 miles on the odo so far. Just makes me want to get in a keep driving!

I think the new Foci are very cool. But having 300+ ft-lbs. of torque is even cooler.

>edit< sorry I should have read the title more closely - performance pkg >edit<

2011 v6 Pony Package vert - 2.73 rear end, 40k miles, I drive ~90 miles a day, about 80% highway, at 70-75 and I consistently get 27-28, sometimes a little higher - the readout usually reads a little low but I manually calculate the figure top up or down doesn't seem to matter

Well just Figured out what I got on the way down to Florida, all the time Speed limit plus 5 at least, all highway 29 (28.999999) First tank, 95% highway, Second tank 28.3, a lot of that was driving around Jacksonville and down the coast. Over all Since I really started keeping track I am at 26.3 over the last 2200 miles.

my 2013 v6pp auto is getting 'slightly' better.

Avg 21.4 for the 3500 miles ive put on it so far. %= 70hwy/30city

it hates light to light traffic.
it does ok at 70-80 if you are nice to it.
it gets 30+ in town if you are catching greens and sitting at 40-45mph.

I can imagine those of you who live in less densely populated areas do much much better than myself. if I could drive around town all day at 45 without dealing with many lights the MPG would be much higher. As far as the hwy goes, out here I have to run 80 just to keep up with the Joneses. dropping to 65 would end up with me being the victim of road rage.

I have a little over 5400 miles on my 013 V6coupe PP 6 speed

The worst mileage I have seen yet has been 24mpg (running it into the speed limiter more than a few times on those tanks)

I did a trip up the north shore of Lake Superior then inland to Grand Rapids, Brainerd etc before heading back home (speed limits for about 575 of the 750 miles were 55, the other 175 miles were 70)
So I ran about 80 in the 70 and 65-70 in most of the 55........but there were towns and stuff to run through nearer 30-40 that may account for 20 miles.

Anyways-I got 31.4 mpg on the trip and the 3 times I filled only varied by a scant .7 mpg highest to lowest

I drive 18 miles to work with 9 of those being on the freeway, I average 26-26.7 mpg on most tanks of fuel

I did use engine braking and "hard" acceleration to seat the rings fully for nearly 100 miles. Then dumped the oil/filter, then at 2000 miles I went full synthetic Mobil 1. I run 93 octane from a BP enroute to work as much as possible, but have used 89 on several tanks and even 87 once, the 87 was the worst fuel mileage tank.
Car is nearly bone stock, I put in a short throw shifter, a trailer hitch for towing (yes I have towed with it!, and a boss 302 stripe kit (minus the words Boss302) no false advertising here...

I got my 2013 V6 performance pkge in June and have nearly 10K on it. I put an AirAid CAI with Bama 93 Octane race tune in July. My daily work drive is 80 miles, 95% fwy mornings at 5am I avg +/- 80 evenings 4:30 I avg 65-70 with stop-n-go in between. I don't drive hard, but I do "flex" generally I keep it around 2K RPM. The milage drops above 2K I am not talking about occasionally but if yiu drive over 2K your milage will drop. All that said I avg about 26-27 mpg, on a long trip speeds of 80-90 I still avg 25.

Not cool Bob. You came on a Mustang (see the logo above?) forum to discuss a different car. You've taken being off topic to a whole new level. I'm going to assume you're not a troll and just ask you to stop drinking or whatever you do to think this is a good idea.
