Topped out or was that what that the average from fill-up to fill-up? Anything in between fill-up's is NOT your vehicles average (for that tank). You could report what your on-board says while driving downhill with a tail wind but it would be meaningless, as would hitting reset while cruising on flat highway.

The entire round trip, about 400 miles, came to 31MPG
Driven pretty mildly, except for a brief 100MPH to pass a few trucks on a 2 lane road.

Been a while since I have been on here so here is my update.
Back in spring I put in 3.73 gears. Nothing else. I was getting 24 MPG driving back and forth to work (20 miles roundtrip)
New job at Ford dealership and started in July. I drive 100 miles a day round trip. I drive 60-65MPH all but maybe 3 miles. 6 speed manual trans.
In July, I started at 26MPG. Then as my computer started to learn my driving habits, it started getting better and better. I am now getting around 27-28 MPG give or take. Been about that for 3 months now. So overall I am pleased. I think it says that I now have "425 miles to E" on my display. I dont trust that though lol.
Just my $.02

I was getting 22-24 mpg until I hit about 5800 miles, then I started getting about 25 to 27mpg. Mixed lonely 2 lane and city driving. Since I put on my CAI, getting about 24-25 but that's mostly because I love the sound more when I hit it. From Springfield, MO to Columbus, OH I averaged 32.3 going and 31.6 coming back.

Weather and trip length seem to be big factors. In the hot weather (110), and running short trips, my MPG dropped to ~19. This time of year, it's closer to 23 around suburbia. But over 30 is easy on long trips. One of the few cars that beats it's EPA numbers.

Just drove from a total trip of 621miles.
29.3 mpg on the way down (figured with calculator not the car's computer which showed 28.8).
On the way back right at 25.6 mpg, but traveled all interstate at 82 to 85 mph instead of the 65 to 70 mph coming down.
Car has 14,000 miles on it, overall 23.4 mpg in mixed spirited driving.
