Different Mufflers for AUTO and MANUAL trans cars ???

I can only respond to that question from the looks. The stick mufflers have a larger nice looking tail pipe tacked on. Could be Ford thought the auto people wanted a quieter
system with more back pressure [more low end torque] thus a smaller tail pipe with a larger stainless outside pipe tacked on?
