Pypes Pype-Bomb Axlebacks!!

That stinks. I've heard some other complaints about bbk quality control. Nothing major but still you would think they would keep tighter control to improve customer satisfaction. Oh well I'm still saving and won't buy till sometime in winter as a project while it's in the garage. Hope my sound deadening mats reduce the drone and headers lower the tone of the bassani's. Talk later good luck with replacement headers.

GhostStryre, I tried something on my Bassani's that I wondered would lessen the drone and it worked. I'm sure I'm up for abuse, but remember it's just a theory that I tried as a temporary experiment. My Bassani's have a cylinder shaped straight thru muffler that gave it a hollow drone. I wrapped the muffler with fiberglass insulation and taped it on temporarily. Well, it worked, but of course I took it off afterwards. My question is whether a header wrap would do the same thing? I know you have a muffler delete pipe, but just wonder, if the drone comes from the pipe, and a wrap would make any difference? Just a thought... I'm still trying the sound deadening mat, when I get time, though. Another thing, is if I wrap stainless steel, it will trap the heat and probably discolor the metal, so I'm not sure I want that.

TacoBill's writeup includes info on how to align the tips in the cutouts without having to bend anything. As long as the manufacturer didn't screw up, no bending of anything should be necessary.
