Default nitrous on a v6 is it possible

I recently purchased a 2013 mustang v6 with the 3.7L. I have a friend that raced the old fox body mustangs and he said i could run up to a 75 shot of dry nitous on the factory motor. I just want to know if he is full of crap. I also would apreciate any advice on some bolt on parts that could add to the cars performance and looks.

I haven't done it to this car, but a 75 shot should be VERY low risk. Check out American Muscle's project car with a 100 shot on the old 4.0L motor and nothing obviously went boom. The 3.7 is MUCH more stout than that motor!

As far as other mods, I second the "read and read some more!" viewpoint. There's a LOT you can do with a Mustang...and it's one of the main reasons I bought one!

I ran a 75 shot on my old car, 2006 4.0 with no problems. But rather than a dry kit I would do a wet kit so you aren't relying upon the computer to pick up the nitrous hit and add fuel at the injectors. The wet kit adds both nitrous and fuel when you spray.

Good point. A wet kit is a bit more work to install, but the safety of having the extra fuel is a welcome benefit.
