Default How much for Springs Installation?

I asked at a local shop that is highly recommended by other Mustang Owners around the area, and the estimate they gave me is about $700 for the installation of the Springs, the CC Plates and the Alignment, the parts (Springs and CC Plates) should be provided by me, does that sound right? Idk I think it is too expensive...

Around here most shops charge around $100 for the alignment alone, plus it's probably a 4-5 hr job to install the springs & plates, which around here labor rates are around $100-120/hr. So I'd say if a shop is quoting you $700, it might be a little high but I'd wager not by much.

With Prices like that I am just glad I do all that myself in my garage, except for the alignment but that is only $40.

+1 I do as much of my own work as well it's just such a big cost savings. To the OP, maybe you could find another local owner who would be willing to help you for some beers?

I usually get quoted $50 a corner, plus alignment.

I can try that, but I am dumbass at Wrenches and I live in an apartment, so it would have to be a really nice guy to lend his driveway, time and tools for some beers and food... hahaha!

I called another shop yesterday and they are going to charge me 150 for the installation plus the installation parts they might use, like bolts, that sounds better, right?

You shouldn't be needing extra parts.

I just had mine done by a local shop in MD. He charged me $450, but that included the LCA's, but not an alignment. I'm waiting a week to do the alignment so the springs can fully settle in.

I paid $110 for mine to get installed. It was friend that owns a shop but they charge $150 for any other Joe off the street.

It's a pretty straightforward job and I would have done it if I had access to air tools. Good luck trying to take out the struts with a socket wrench. I'm 200lbs and pretty fit and I couldn't get it to budge.

Anyhow he did everything in a little over an hour, rears took 15 minut.
