Auto or manual? Either way, see if she'll pass 115 by not being in the top gear. There's not much torque available to help overcome drag in the top gear.
Might want to look into a safety loop also. Some tracks require them and if you throw your shaft at speed, you might flip-over. They also stiffen the body by bracing the canyon where the shaft resides.
Will the driveshaft really explode?? I've been to 110, but now I don't know if I should try faster, especially after I get my tune.
There's a couple videos on YouTube of the 3.7's factory driveshaft breaking at 135 mph. The limited top speed on the 3.7 is 112, I believe. The GT is about 147.
I have an 07 and it's electroncially limited due to the same causes. You can take the limiter off with any tuner, like an Superchips or SCT. I have personally been very close to 120 in mine with the limiter turned off but the driveshaft begins to vibrate extremely heavily. You can purchase a driveshaft safety loop if you feel like you need to constantly exceed those speeds. The safety loop will make sure if your driveshaft does explode, it doesn't fall out and whip around or worse, get caught and launch your car.

that would be scary! I just read a review of the Roush RS3 and the speed is limited to 147 also and they state it's due to drive shaft "durability" it makes me wonder if the driveshaft quality on the whole mustang lineup is as excellent(sarcasm) quality as the MT-82 gearbox.
