Default What's Up With My Air Fuel Ratio???

In general my car's air fuel ratio stays inbetween the 14-15 range but when I increase my speed lets say from 30-70mph (Freeway entrances not at WOT)
It sky rockets to 20+ and stays that way for a a while until I let up on the throttle, then I start to smell a faint burning smell coming from under the hood immediately after? I'm starting to get worried because sometimes I'm no where near WOT and this happens. And its the same burning smell. Everything else reads perfect according to my on dash display. Is any one else having this issue or does anyone know what is wrong?

Should be going the other way like dropping to 12-12.5, not 20.

The only time mine sees 20 is coasting in gear.

If you are seeing 20 under any load I wouldn't wait. That is dangerously lean. You might not make it a couple weeks

Correct - engine is going WAY lean, if the gage is correct...and it might explain the burning smell...but it also could be one or more O2 sensors is mucked up in some way which might not be that bad....

Either way, 'taint right - send 'er back!

The only time I see 20 is coasting down a hill or off throttle. Normally between 13.9 to 14.1 under constant load, lower when accelerating. Let us know what they say.

The highest I have ever seen has been 29.9 through Torque during decel/coasting , but I believe it is suspect.
