2013 v6 automatic 0-60 time help
#11
I also get 6.2 seconds for 0-60 times. I have a 2013 V6 convertible/automatic trans. with CAI and Hypertech tune. I find it very disappointing since I traded my '07 V8 convertible (GT/CS) with 5 speed stick for it and it did 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. That's a difference you can actually feel.

You probably need to rev a little higher. I launch at 4k but have a manual. I've gotten 4.3 seconds although I'm almost fully bolted on.
A performance package car should be getting low 5 second to 60.
What elevation are you at? If you're in Texas, that shouldn't be an issue, but if you're up high, your times will be affected. Also are you sure the road is flat that you're trying this on? Have you tried in both directions?

Nah, I'm an old guy. I'm way past videotaping myself. But you can find several mid to upper 12 second 1/4 mile time videos on youtube. And if you check out the 1/4mile list for 3.7s, I'm pretty sure you can find some 1/8 times and can probably extrapolate what 0-60 might be for those cars.

I understand. If you want video proof of similarly modded 3.7s you should check out z28th1s and his son's videos on the track. Greg "z28th1s" is able to get just below 4 seconds, but he's a really good driver with drag radials and short tires. We have similar mods. I'm not nearly as good a driver and I'm running on 275/40-19s in the rear. I've only gotten the 4.27 once, most every time I'm in the 4.4-4.7 second range. I'm using Torque to get my numbers and I'm not on a track prepped surface. So I'm sure there's some range for error....who knows. All I know is my car is crazy fast compared to when I bought it. And yes, I make more expensive cars look bad. That's part of the fun for me.
