Default 2014 crappy shifter linkage,115mph govenor, drive shaft issue

Is it me? I have a 2014 mustang 3.7. w/manual transmission. the shifter linkage (for me) is almost impossible to speed shift.
secondly real disappointed at 115 mph governor, heard of drive shaft issues at high speed.
the shifter linkage is my first concern for now!!!
any help??

get a nice short throw shifter and bracket and that will take care of the problem....as for the governor if you get a tune that can be adjusted or removed

The problem with the shifter is that it's not actually bolted to the tail shaft of the transmission (this is also true for the GT). While the transmission is subject to torque from the motor, the shifter is not, and it slightly changes the geometry of the shift levers under hard acceleration.

There are two "fixes" for this:

0) Change the motor mounts and transmission mount to urethane parts that allows less flexing under torque.

1) Change the shifter to something more precise.

Of course, you could also upgrade to a Tremec T56, but that's at least 10x the cost of the other two things combined.

Regarding the speed limiter, you need to buy a tuner to turn it off.

I've heard conflicting stories regarding the need for a 1-piece drive shaft, but to be on the safe side, I got one.

Was having the same issue going into 3rd gear, changed to MGW shifter. Now no issue, installation was pretty easy. Cost of the shifter is well worth it.
