MBRP aluminized axle backexhaust
Anyone here have the MBRP aluminized axle-back exhaust for the V6? Would rather get the Borla S, but these are half the price at around $300. The stainess steel model is over $500, so also wondering if the aluminized one sounds different or doesn't last as long and are not worth it. The model number is S242AL for the aluminized.

I just installed the MBRP axle back S242AL. Has a great deep sound at start up. It mellows out after warm up. Nice not to loud during cruising but roars upon acceleration. No drone up to 75mph. After that some drone but not bad. It's in my wife's 2013 V6 Stang convertible. She's not a gearhead but likes it.

I just got them installed. They sound great, any more would be too much. I especially like them when it is idling.
I weighted both on bathroom scales:
1 MBRP = 11 lbs
1 stock = 20 lbs
18 lbs total weight reduction.

Thanks for the info, this gives me something to consider besides Magnaflow Cat-Back or Axle-back...

They all work together, I started with Magnaflo street series catback, then installed CAI and Bama tune, and all I can say is yes on the tune, The 93 r tune is what I'm currantly running, and oh yea you can really tell the difference when you put your foot down

Any chance you have a sound clip of how they sound ????

I still have the stock exhaustt on my 2012 V6 and did the JLT CAI and Bama 93R tune and it's like night and day especially on take off. you will see more performance with the tune than anything, well worth the money for sure.
