Default New to Muscle cars

Hello,

My name is Daci and I just bought a 2014 Mustang V6 Convertible. I am coming from a long background of Japanese cars( Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart, Subaru, etc.).
I've had the car for 3 days now and absolutely love it: comfy, stylish, and get lots of respect on the road.

Part of the deal that I got was extended warranty up to 10 years or 100k miles (don't ask). My question is what kind of mods can I do that don't void the warranty?

Thank you.

a mod doesn't unilaterally void the car's warranty. by law, the only way a mod or aftermarket parts can justify denial of a warranty claim is if the mod can be shown to have caused the failure. for example, if you install a PCM tune and your engine goes lean and cracks pistons, Ford can reasonably point to the tune as the cause of the engine failure and deny your warranty claim.

What they can't do is deny a claim for e.g. a defective radio just because you put different mufflers on the car.

Dacib, welcome to real American muscle. You must have bought your car certified used.(?) Anyway, you'll love the car. As for mods, just be sure to find a dealer that will be mod friendly. Some will do most anything to not work on a modded car. Other are pretty cool. If you want a great group, search Cyclone Mustang on FB and join up. You can find any info you want as well as reading/asking here.
