I got the Bama tuner today - took the car out and made a few runs, even timed it with my phone to confirm the times. The tune defintiely makes the sport shift feature a lot more user friendly. I don't really have a good straight road to play with without a litlte but of a rise to it but I still got 6.2-6.5 with a Bama 87 performance tune loaded. I know it says it needs 50 miles to learn your preferences and stuff but still. I keep seeing youtube videos where guys are running like 5.3 seconds and claiming they have stock 3.31 gears and nothing done to the car and it just makes me think something has to be wrong with this one. Then other people swear they did nothing to their car and it's in the 6's.

My car got a bit slower because I have Autocross tire width... 255 40 19's up front and 275 40 19s in the back. that made it with the stock tune .7 slower. Maybe I should look into getting smaller tires again? I mean, it looks bad *** and all but if it's going to cost me all this 0-60 time and gas to pull it.

cowboy, load the the race tune in your car, either 93 or 91, whatever you can get around there, big difference over the performance tune

I know my times with my 2016 3.7 went from 6.3 to 5.5s 0-60 after my tune I have 3.15's. I really want 3.55 maybe 3.73 but the 3.55 is way cheaper looking at the whole housing pre loaded since I need a new differntial torsen lock since I have the 3.15's ;(

I definitely will, I currently have a little over half a tank of 87 in there. I plan to run an HPDE at Carolina Motorsports Park and will run her a little under a quarter tank, put 93 in it, and then top it off with 93 and put the race tune in for the weekend. We'll see how it does on that.

Is that 93 octane race tune a littile "aggressive?" As aggressive as it sounds, and as a guy who knows how to adjust these things when it's a distributor and a carburetor, I wonder if it's so aggressive that it would shorten the engine life if I ran it too long?

Which tune did you load?

It may be worht noting this road I tested on has a ever so slight "curve" that I straightened as much as I can in the situation, along with a slight "uphill" one way "downhill" the other. I got a 6.2-6.5 timer depending on the way I was going and how "clean" my run was. Of course, in 87 performance.

I had mine dyno tune locally with 93 octane in it. I bought my tuner a week before AM had bama tunes for the 16 v6

There is a big difference in the performance tune compared to the rce tune Race tune has better low end pull and throttle response. 93 octane will help a lot also and get the tune made for 93 octane.

don't know if you tried this but run a tank of Ethanol free fuel and recheck your times. Ethanol has less energy the regular gasoline.

Don't believe much of what you see on youtube. I can change the settings when i load my tune with the tire size and axle ratio and do a 2 second 0 to 60 video. Just saying.....................
