Default AOD Trans won't shift

My AOD trans won't shift out of first!! I'll put it in Overdrive and drive but it won't shift. If I get up to about 25-30 then it will just rev up as if it is in nuetral until it hits a high RPM then grab as if it's still in first gear. The trans was just rebuilt about 2 years ago. And for the smart asses like Adder...yes I checked the fluid. It's good and doesn't smell burnt.

Could a bad filter cause this??! I'm hoping it's something simple, but with my luck it won't be.

the problem sounds like a speed sensor on the trans. check your connectors for corrosion, and check for a broken wire.

AOD's have throttle valves. They MUST be adjusted appropriately in order for the AOD to shift. (This does NOT apply to the AOD-E). There should be a throttle valve cable attached at the TB or carb. It too tight, you gotta pop the locking clip out and adjust it. Ill see if I can find some info for you.

I tried a few things and heres what I figured out...

It's shifts hard in to rev. and drive
If I'm going down the road, let off the gas and shift it back and forth from "N" to "D" about 10 times then back into "OD" it will shift. Almost like the cable is sticking and moving it back and forth frees it up somehow.

Theres a couple of things for you guys to kick around...by the way, if anyone is interested, it just came up on the market. Just found out we have a new baby on the way and it's time to let someone that has the money fix it up.
