Default starter or starter solenoid location

troubleshooting my mustang that wont start. its down to the starter or starter solenoid. where is the solenoid located and how hard is it to pull a starter on these?

There's a starter relay located in the power distribution box by the driver's side strut tower that activates the solenoid, the solenoid ismounted onthe starter itself and used to kick the starter drive in as well.[/align][/align]R&R of the starter is the same as most other cars, disconnect the battery, undo the solenoid and power connections at the starter, pull 3 bolts fastening the starter to the block/bellhousing--go backwards to put it all back together...[/align]

guy up above is correcto.. just look under the passenger side of the car by the headers/manifolds there should be a lumpy thing there get it off has the solenoid attached to it should be 3 bolts and one of them is a reall bitch to get to i had to get mine from the front of the car... using extensions to get to it couldnt get **** to get it. you can see the top third bolt if you take off the tire and look at it through the fenderwell but it wont give you any more access to it just lets you see it so you know what you going for... hope this helps.
